Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience working as a software architect or similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of software development lifecycle and service-oriented architecture.
  • Expert understanding of microservices architecture and containerization.
  • Proven experience in the software architecture and designing of systems at the enterprise level.
  • Experience of at least two general programming languages and coding practices and methods primarily geared towards Net Core stack, Python, C#, JavaScript, UI/UX design.
  • 5+ years of experience working with and/or implementing Agile artifacts within a software development process.
  • Has worked on large scale and high-risk projects implementing reliable services and/or microservices architecture.
  • Strong technical acumen; creativity; interpersonal skills; emotional intelligence.
  • Strong knowledge in T-SQL programming.
  • Strong knowledge in database design.
  • Strong knowledge in UML diagrams.
  • Proven experience in API design under authentication and security standards.
  • Knowledge of containerized environments and applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to find consensus in cross-functional work teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prepare detailed documentation, experience developing roadmaps, proposals, and recommendations. Experience with Visio Professional or similar tools.
  • Broad understanding of various cloud development technologies and trends; developer preferences and challenges.
  • Good understanding of enterprise service bus (ESB) platforms

Canditate must hold a degree on Computer Science Engineering, Systems Engineering or within the software development field. We are looking for a very talented and experienced software architect to be the technical hub and main controller for SDLC. It is responsible for the evaluation, identification and design of the software solutions that are necessary to meet ERC’s business goals. This is a “hands-on” position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Design software components, libraries and applications that meets functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Follow the Architectural tradeoff analysis method (ATAM) for architectural scenarios and design alternatives.
  • Head the selection process of the technologies, languages and tools that best solves applications problems.
  • Propose and enforce technical standards and best practices, including but not limited to coding standard, requirement analysis, architecture guidelines, unit testing, integration testing.
  • Extend the utilization of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) across new and existing ERC’s services enabling more practical and accessible functions for data management and logical operations.
  • Ensure performance, reliability, and security within the APIs, this includes the implementation monitoring and load management tools.
  • Experience with Kong is a plus.
  • Promote and implement services/microservices oriented architecture and containerized applications.
  • Work in coordination of his direct manager and fellow architects on projects from proposal through postimplementation, assessing problems, proposing high impact solutions, and executing them against a set of defined success parameters.
  • Focus on service excellence and ensuring is fault tolerant and has maximum up time.
  • Devise strategies around reducing service outages and disruptions.
  • Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and envision future improvements to the architecture.
  • Document architecture and design supported by visual diagrams.
