Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or other related field.  Candidates with an active or inactive CPA (Certified Public Accountant) and/or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) preferred.
  • 5-7 years of work in an accounting and/or finance related position with the ability to demonstrate the handling of multiple deliverables and priorities.
  • Knowledge of NetSuite preferred.
  • Strong background in Excel, especially the ability to build and maintain reports.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).

Position Summary:

   

Perform a variety of accounting and finance related functions that ensure completeness and accuracy of product related financials and budget to actual comparatives.  This is also inclusive of capturing both department and client related financial data (including budgets and actual results) so that the information is properly accumulated and ready to present to department heads and the senior leadership team. 

Job Responsiblities:

  • Establish and maintain Product specific financials and Return on Investment (ROI);
    Assist in the budget and forecasts for product financials along with other department specific financials
    Track product costs from development to deployment for each product
    Prepare budget to actuals financials and review with corresponding department heads and senior level management
    Collaborate with accounting on proper general ledger coding for expenses
    Ensure chart of accounts are setup the best way to optimize overall reporting for product based financials
    Develop and manage accounting policy for capitalization of labor and respective overhead (mostly related to product costing)
    Provide support on account reconciliations and monthly close procedures as needed and be prepared to present recommendation to improve the overall monthly close process
    Assist the SVP of Financial Planning & Analysis, the CFO and the VP Controller with ad-hoc projects as presented
    Learn to build reports in ERC’s ERP (NetSuite) and Budgeting and Reporting Tool (Jedox)
