Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, human resources management, psychology, labor relations or closely related field.
  • (If internal) Minimum a year of employment at ERC.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English & Spanish).
  • Demonstrated experience working in the Customer Service field. Face-to-face jobs preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc…)
  • Ability to interpret and apply human resources laws, rules, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Project Management skills.
  • Exceptional professionalism in appearance and behavior.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Results-oriented, proactive, empathetic, creative with good initiatives. High level of emotional intelligence.
  • Standard negotiating strategies and excellent decision-making skills.

The Labor Relations Coordinator ensures and maintains an effective company-employee relationship, by guaranteeing the proper application of policies and procedures and by handling/resolving any disputes or conflicts that may arise on a daily basis.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

 

  • Mediate discussions between employer and employee to try to reconcile differences.
  • Handling complaints that may arise from employee unions in relation to labor matters.
  • Handle the employee's attempts to resign, exhausting all ways to retain them.
  • Follow up Exit Request until completion (process termination or transfer if applicable, send NLE).
  • Manage vacations requests, transfer request, payroll inquires and / or updates for the assigned floor (project).
