  • BS. in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Linguistics, or related fields a plus but not required6 mos-1 year of experience designing, building, deploying and tuning conversation flows in US English with Google Dialog Flow
  • Experience with Amazon, IBM Watson, or Microsoft NLU solutions a plus
  • Experience integrating with and/or building AI solutions with low- or no-code tools
  • Understanding of Machine Learning (ML), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and neural networks
  • Experience with storyboarding, wireframes, and/or screenwriting a plus
  • Contact center experience a plus

Job Summary

ERC creates loyal customers by challenging the complexity of today’s experiences. An ERC Conversational AI Experience Designer architects, deploys and continuously improves innovative and frictionless customer-to-machine interactions, leveraging the latest AI concepts and technologies. The Conversational AI Experience Designer seeks to understand ERC’s business needs and those of our customers, identifies use cases, user personas, customer journeys, and key features, works with Product Managers to conduct market and customer research, and guides ERC stakeholders in the creation of a conversational AI strategy to meet their objectives. The Conversational AI Experience Designer selects the appropriate AI modalities, techniques, and tools to execute on the strategy. They may build conversational AI solutions in collaboration with or as part of a development team. AI modalities may include, but are not limited to: chatbots, virtual voice assistants, and digital humans.


Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, execution, and continuous improvement of conversational AI solutions
  • Develop a solid understanding of ERC’s business, the industries we serve, and our customers
  • Design and develop Natural Language Understanding (NLU) models to create intuitive, scalable, intent-based solutions that integrate with or complement existing technology investments in ERC’s AI Ecosystem
  • Design and document user flows, dialogs, functional logic, and system prompts
  • Have excellent contextual-based writing abilities
  • Leverage agile development frameworks to test ideas quickly, fail fast, measure performance, and iterate based on stakeholder, customer, and/or consumer data and feedback
  • Partner with Product Management, Product Marketing, Compliance, and other business units as needed to ensure conversational AI solutions are aligned and consistent with one another, with other products in the AI Ecosystem, and with ERC branding, Customer Experience/User Experience guidelines, accessibility, tone, etc.
  • Analyze user data across all conversational AI solutions to test assumptions and develop insights about functionality, quality, user experience, ROI, and scalability
  • Lead status meetings and working sessions for diverse groups of internal and external stakeholders
  • Create charts, graphics and presentations as needed to help communicate status and performance
  • Support the Product Marketing team in creating internal and external communications about conversational AI offerings
  • Serve as an in-house subject matter expert in conversational AI
